What should I buy from the shop?
I have 50 rubies and I can't decide what to buy. What is the best item that I can get?

Gilded heroes will have the longest lasting positive gain because they survive transcendence. The double damage isn't that great especially once you start buying in quantities of 25 and your damage is being multiplied by 4 every few minutes. The quick reset of souls might be tempting but the value of that is fixed once you spend those gems, as opposed to collecting another 10 and getting a total of 6 gilds.

What is transcendence anyway? And I don't get what you mean when you say why double damage is bad. Could you explain?

Getting 7 HS per QA right after transcending is a pretty significant boost if you can get Siyalatas and Libertas (and Solomon if you're lucky). As for the 2x damage multiplier, it helps a lot on the first few runs after transcending.

The cost of the 2x damage multiplier is 20 rubies, compared to 30 rubies for 3 gilds. Later on, 3 gilds is equal to less than 1% more DPS for 30 rubies, compared to double damage for 20 rubies, which is why double damage is worthwhile. Purchased gilds are good too, but I think there's a point where purchasing more gilds is not worth it anymore (which is at about 120 purchased gilds if you ask me).

It's essentially a super ascension that gives much bigger bonuses in exchange for nearly everything you have. You can read more about it in the FAQ or the two threads about transcendence that can be found in the "read this before posting" thread.

Its actually 50 rubies.

I clearly stated that 2x damage costs 20 rubies. At least, I remember it being 20 rubies, but I might be wrong.

The "compared to 30 rubies for 3 gilds" part means that purchasing 3 gilds costs 30 rubies. I'm pretty sure you misquoted me and nwnc710 here.

I haven't really analyzed this, but it seems mathematically wrong to say gilding six random heroes (60 rubies) would be better than doubling damage (50 rubies). +100% to all heroes seems inherently better than +50% to some heroes.

Well it depends on your cirucumstance. I'm doing deep idle runs with Masked Samurai as 100.0% of my DPS. If I get 6 guilds, which through relics do +108% more damage, that's +648% damage to masked samurai if I move them all over. Plus, since one champion is doing 100% of my damage, every time I purchase 25 of him my damage is quadrupled anyway.

Keep in mind, the 2x damage is a permanent upgrade that will last forever essentally.
So, it's worth the cost to get that soonish, rather than later.
Extra DMG from gilds can slowly drop to 1%, but if you have the Agriv ancient, Gilds aren't going to lose much. :)

2x damage first...
after transcension, you are going to lose all your gilded bonuses(that you buy) temporarily anyway
whereas the 2x damage will help you get to zone 100 easier than no 2x damage

Also, there are alot of posts, explaining why buying gilded heroes are not recommended anyway
you can easily find them via Google search

Here one example

I highly sugest Gilded Heros, although at the same time 2x Damage forever is also very useful. It all depends what levle your on at the moment. You could also just save your rubies up and buy a ton of differant stuff. You choice.:steamhappy:

I go for 2x damage. After that by far the best unlock is 1 quick ascension right at the beginning of a transcendence. If you can use those 7 hero souls to get the idle ancients or juggernaut + solomon then you can really speed up the early game in transcending.

I'm sorry, I'm not very good at quoting. I have the game open now, and 2x damage is 50 rubies, not 20.

I see. I guess I was remembering it wrong, or I mixed it up with Timelapse. Thanks for the correction.
