why does Aphrodite, the goddes of love have more dps than Athena, goddes of war

Both Athena and Aphrodite have the same DPS bonuses (4 +100% DPS bonuses, which is 16x DPS total). In order for them to have roughly the same cost per level, they have to have a level difference of 50, which means that, with a level 250 Athena, you'd have to get Aphrodite to level 200.

The later heroes will always have a higher "DPS per level" stat than the previous heroes. This does not necessarily mean they'll be better or more efficient. In this case, when comparing Athena and Aphrodite, I noticed that Aphrodite gives roughly 70% more DPS than Athena for roughly the same cost, assuming they're both above level 200.

Besides, it's just a game, so I don't think it's going to be 100% realistic or logical.

Read the descriptions of their abilities. Aphrodite makes enemies fall in love and does a kiss of death plus makes other enemies fight each other. Compare that to Athena who's just an individually strong warrior and nothing else special. Being able to kill enemies with a kiss and making them fight each other sounds more deadly to me. I assume combat abilities and the ability to make enemies fall in love scale relative to character level. But either way both sound pretty potent and it could have gone either way.

I'm a bit surprised not many people actually know that when Aphrodite really gets mad, you're boned.
In Greek Mythology, the few times that Aphrodite got mad, Zeus literally ran away in fear.
I'm not joking, Zeus ran and hid whenever Aphrodite got mad.

So, if Zeus himself ran away and hit whenever Aphrodte got mad, you know Aphrodite can be a lot stronger than Athena.

Athena can make a war scream that you can hear for miles (MILES) that makes monsters scared, that seems pretty special. Other than that though, yeah aphrodite seems to have more special abilities.

As I pointed out awhile ago, and not sure how you missed it, it's also based on the lore behind Aphrodite in Greek Mythology.
When she got angry, which was rare, Zeus ran away and hid in fear. :)

I heard. I was just responding to the previous post. I know more than most people about mythology it seems but I don't know a lot at all. I barely know anything about aphrodite other than the coming out of the sea thing and marrying hephestus,(and not liking the marriage, and having an affair with Aries)
But thats all I know about aphrodite.

Yeah, her coming out of the sea after Zeus threw in Uranus's man parts. :) Now Uranus is a Eunich. :)
She also was not friendly to Cupid's wife, you could say she was the original "Worst Mother-in-law." and well, she and Ares, yeah, there's that. :)
