Question about treasure chests
If you keep going back and forth between two floors, is it possible that you would get a treasure chest? It takes me like 1 minute to kill things on the floor I'm on so I'm wondering if quickly going back and forth between my last two floors to get treasure chests would be worth it.

I think the base chance of a treasure chest is 1% but I'm not sure.

Your best choice is to keep completing floors and progressing more and more. The ratio of speed/money remains equal. Going back to the first levels will get you a treasure chest faster (having more power means you kill enemies faster, of course), but you will get essentially the same amount of money over a shorter amount of time than large amounts of money over a longer period. So, again, it's probably better if you just stick with completing floors and leveling your heroes up.

tixe i think you misunderstood OP.

as i understan,d it he sdoesnt really "go back"
he refresh the zone he is at, to try to get another type of monster.
when he said he gfoes back, he in fact triffles with the zone selecting buttons, changing the zone number then coming again to his initial zone, just to refresh it.

it could be a good strategy for long boring runs, if those were not a bad strategy to begin with.
as things are chests are more difficult to kill, but indeed they give more money so it may be a good yield overall, with high mimzee that is. after a moment , most of your gold comes from here, and if you can get fortunas platinum coins at the same time, jackpot. with higgh dora, this êrcent can transfrom in several percent. which is still low, but if you can get one after , like, 20 tries becasue its 5%, its ok.

Treasure chests can appear on ANY non-boss floor, in place of ANY monster (except Relic Ooze who is unique and trumps everything else). The chance to get a chest is the same for any regular monster no matter if it is a new floor or one you already beat.

That said, Tixe is correct about one thing: if you go to a zone where you can kill enemies very fast, you will get more chests simply because you go through ememies faster than your current zone does. So if for example 1 of 20 monsters is going to be a chest, if you are on floor 902 and killing one monster takes 12 seconds, that is 5 monsters per minute so you will get one chest about every 4 minutes. If you move back to zone 753 where you kill a monster every 2 seconds, you get 30 monsters per minute so you get one or two chests per minute. HOWEVER, the money inside a chest is multiplied by the zone YOU FIND THE CHEST ON. So a zone 753 chest gives much less money than a zone 902 chest.

(please note: that 1/20 chest rate is just an example, not the actual appearance rate!)

interesting. so there would be a function that calculates dold revenue depending on zone, dora/mimzee value, and dps.

the premise is that with high mimzee it could be worth it to kill chests at lower zone instead of waiting indefinitely at high zoness, becase of the time if takes compared to the horribly long time on your highest reached zone.

EVEN IF on the long term, high zones will always net more as a chest there will compensate for all that time lost.
AND knowing tha you rarely wait that much time to kill a monster on your highest zone, since the nerf of chronos. before it could take 10 minutes or more, now after a minute you ll probably have that bastard killed. yes, its still a nerf, becaseu before idling a very long time could take you to higher zones, as you had all the time to kill them.

SO, in the end, OP technique is probably good. find a chest at the zone your in, last one reached.
