its a flash game... nothing more than 0.1 would be adequate for a flash game. seriously. i mean, its a n advertising of sort
Not to mention, the save option built into the game in case you need to make backups from time to time.
Never play for 5 minutes and expect it to save.
Let it run for about 10 to 15, and it will sync and autosave.
And ViciousCareBear, what are you talking about, can you elaborate, since your 0.1 and advertising makes no sense.
i made an attempt at explaining this, meanuing that anyway something that is basically a flash game should not be allowed an higher number than 0.1 , on the premise that they are technologically inferior , so as to be coherent with the strong desire of people to have meaningful numbers. which they ll never have, its not like some government will be edicting enforcable rules of good practices about software version numbers anyway.
i elaborate on this explaining that basically flash is a technology that is mostly used for advertising nowadays, and in a sense it would be better if it was restricted to it (plus we could erase this awful thing of our computers without remorse, for good this time). i suggest that anything made of that pitiful programming language , in my view and this view must be widely shared, has no more value that some random advertising we are quick to dismiss when we prowl the interwebs. a mere peripherical waste of time. well, like gaming as a whole in a sense.
That's like dimishing Wolfenstein 3d beacuse of how old it is. :)
Technologically, the Apple II is inferior to Flash, but the games on the Apple II are still worth playing. :)
Number Well, I can't say it's last name beacuse Steam is stupid and things the word Munch with Er on the end is somehow a bad slang. Someone is so going to sue Steam.
Flash is nostalgia and flash is a wonderful thing too. They still make updates improving it and bringing new modern features. Thus there still are great games and animations done with it nowadays.
And Newgrounds is still a thing.
I don't understand why you play Flash games at all, if you dislike that programming language and player so much.
Also version numbers are arbitrary; they are reference points or guidelines for the developers mostly.
Last but not least it is your mistake to not elaborate on your thoughts. And getting rude as reaction when someone doesn't understand you because you don't give any hint on what you mean is not nice at all.
First don't trust Steam cloud; do manual backups and saves.
Secondly it takes time to synchronise, you need to wait before closing Steam or shutting down your system.
Games in flash happen I've been onthis one for a long time and have had no problems with the saving as I let it sync when I'm done. Cuz that's what you're suppose to do..
What?
As I clearly mentioned in OP, I manually saved before exiting, and when I loaded it up, it *still* didn't load the most recent progress. Making excuses for their poor programming is certainly your prerogative, but I find that to be pretty distasteful. Convoluted work-arounds for their bad programming demonstrate why this problem should be solved with a simple "save and exit" button.
Do you guys enjoy not reading OP and then writing random replies? I clearly said I saved it prior to exit.
Yes, I know how to save a file to my computer, thanks for your input. The issue is the save rate of the game itself is on the order of 10+ minutes. I shouldn't have to manually load that save backup every time I boot up the game. They need to fix this with a simple "save and exit."
Because you need to sync that up with the other save it makes normally every ten minutes or so.
You basically didn't give it enough time to properly sync up, and then forgot about how to load the save game, so you wouldn't have lost the progress.
Don't knock the game because you didn't properly go through the process.
And don't attack people here for explaining things to you. It doesn't help you being taken seriously.
Seriously, the game's got some flaws, sure, but don't act like it's a piece of crap.
Can't save a backup save and then expect it to register that as the information when it loads the game up next time.
That's not even how the backup save works. Without you know, loading it. :)
Do you have a reading comprehension issue?
Yes, I'm well aware of that. Which you would already know if you had read my posts. Jesus, you guys are daft.
