To Borb or Not to Borb

What if we didn't transcend every 8-10 AS, but transcend whenever we hit our Max Transcendent Primal Reward or have a good substantial amount of HS to sacrifice, whichever first. That way we won't have to put points into Borb!

I mean, level 29 to level 30 Ponyboy is only like a ~3% increase.

After fumbling around with different builds and transcending with 9-11 AS - Generally after banging my head against the ts power cap for a day or so. I decided to go down the Borb path.. one thing sway'd me in the end. Relics. I found some majorly good relics in my previous transcendence and was sad to see them go. (+300seconds luckystrikes, +300 powersurge & atman all on the one relic, just to name one).

Currently i have 60points in Borb (out of 99). and have banked 8 AS for my next transcendence .. Yet i'm still quite along way from my TS powercap, so i can look forward to pushing way past 15AS before even considering trashing my valuable relics again.

Borb all the way imo.

8-10 AS per transcension is assuming you have never leveled Borb. It can be higher than that with Borb, as long as you can reach your cap in a reasonable amount of time and if you grind for more HS even after reaching your cap just for a few extra AS.

I can reach my cap in a reasonable amount of time even with a lvl 20 Borb (108 AS total). I plan on getting Phandoryss, Ponyboy and Chor at higher levels before I invest in Borb again.

Leveling Borb makes transcensions longer and worth more AS by increasing the cap, whereas leveling Phandoryss, Ponyboy and Chor makes transcensions shorter by allowing you to reach the cap a lot sooner. A good balance of both is what I'd recommend, but I don't know the exact numbers.

I'm still lost in achievement land.. I always take the five minute quests and whatever else is shortest so I'm not getting all the hero souls from mercs like some people here (which leads to much faster trans).

However, since I bumped up to 10 Phan, with 105 AS, and a 15+ borb, I've found I finish a transcendence in no more then 2-3 runs after I hit the tp cap. When I had a low Phan it took a lot more time to finish out a transcendence.. maybe I would get 1-2 AS max each run once I reached the cap point and now I'll get 2-3 on the important runs.

Hmm, I guess Borb is still a good deal after all.
