Achievements Too Hard?
So, I don't know about you guys, but I think a lot of the Steam achievements for this game are a bit too hard. You know somethings up when 45% of the achievments are owned by under one percent of the players. Then again, I might just be really bad at Clicker Heroes. What are your guys thoughts on the Steam achievements for this game?

I'd rather they rollback the new achievements.

Forgot to mention that 20% of the achievements are owned by less than 0.1% of players
I've played spiral knights for YEARS and there's still like AN ENTIRE THIRD of steam players who don;'t have THE EASIEST ACHIEVEMENT IN THE GAME

So I really don't care

As one of the people who like to get 100% steam achievements on games, it kind of sucks. I was pretty close to gettin 100% before the transcend stuff, but now I'm far away. The game lost its appeal for me a long time ago, too, so I may just deal with not getting 100% in it. Pretty lame to add achievements to a game so much later.

Most of the achievements aren't too bad, but there are some that'll have you playing this FAR TOO LONG than you expected and should be. They just recently added in 50+ achievements (quests, mercs, transcend), and most of us were struggling with the pre-tran zones already in terms of zones up to 3,600 (I could barely get to 2,400).
I think any achievement that you can get in less than 2 years is fine.

Same here I just wanted to go 3600 zone and finish game and now I just lose hope to achieve 100%

Surgeon
Revive 500 Mercenaries

How often can one realistically revive a merc with rubies? Perhaps once a week? So we are looking at YEARS here. And its depending on luck.

No. just no.

Truthfully, I was having a ton of problems before the update.. Then transcendance.
All I can say now?

Anybody who has Surgeon achievement (Revive 500 Mercenaries) probably got it through editing the save file. I don't believe that someone really spent so much rubies.

And I've found a mistake - Achievements for 5 minute quests, 2 of them are the same for 50 quests, one should be for 10. At least description is wrong.

I pretty much quit when mercenaries came and only ever did maybe 5 missions total when I was exploring the game for 2-3 ascensions a few months back to find out I was still rather bored of it and went back to my other idle games.

So.. looking at my stats. Definitely been no-lifing since I came back for transcendence.. I've done 150 quests and 3 revives in 7 days (roughly 60 ascensions and half way through my 2nd trans as well). However you look at it.. it's going to take a while!

When revived at the right time, you actually earn progress and possibly rubies depending on which quests you decide to send them on.
As with everything in this game, it is about optimization. Do the right choices for the maximum rewards with minimal effort.

It's still gonna take more than 2 years, realistically though, right? I've played 695 hours and have only had 43 mercenaries die.

It is going to take a long time indeed. But this game is not created to be finished after a couple hours of playing. This is an idle game that requires patience.
Yes we understand that completely, but you have to understand if something takes years to reach a landmark, it may be seen as broken/imbalance.

Like someone else said in this thread, reach zone 3600 and then just call it there. I'm still struggling to get to zone 2400, pre and post tran (even though still early in tran). Some of us have been playing for at least a year at this point and gotten very far and close to 100% the steam achievements, before 50+ more were added out of left field.

We understand you wanted to increase the lifespan of the game, but went a bit too far by including the 500, 1000, 2500, and 5000 landmarks on the quests, and the 500 revives & 200 burials with the level 25 merc to boot when it's gonna be very pricy to revive a merc and be better off just buring them.

There is a difference between playing game from 0 with all the 'cool updates' and starting from basically 0 after 1000 hours.
