Why is the Dread Knight so expensive?

The Dread Knight costs 10000U which is so much more than Frostleaf which is only around 2000S. Also, It is impossible to progress past zone 140 without any thing higher. I end up just having to ascend since i cant seem to get past 140 effectively. How did you guys get past this barrier. Im making it to zone 140 in one day and then just ascending to get hero souls ot upgrade my ancients.

well the 50% off also goes for everything else just getting that ancient to pop up could cost a few hundred hero souls also i mistyped its ancient of thrift not shadows my bad brother, shadows halves the amount of monsters to advance to next level zone

It can be even less expensive if you get a relic that helps. I have lousy RNG when it comes to relics, but did get a Rare relic- Arctic Wraps Of Thrift, that gives me +3 to Dogcog and +15 to Libertas. 4399U for Dread Knight and 4400$ for Atlas with it and Dogcog leveld up.

More gold coming in while idle and less cost. Lets me hire and level up faster.

[Edit} and a Common relic that gives me +4 to Atman (which was one of the last Ancients I managed to get) and another +21 to Liibertas... Every bit helps. :)

See what I mean? Most people probably don't even know if ascending is good or not. They're afraid to ascend for the first time because they don't want something to ♥♥♥♥ up. Usually people ascend when they only have like 1 or 2 souls. I've even seen people ascend when they just got amenhotep (I think that's the guys' name.)

Summary: The game wants you to ascend efficiently.

Ive done 5 ascensions. I dont really like these walls. How much ascensions do i need? like 150?

Upgrade Treebeast to 1000.

Yeah I do... He doesnt get much DPS compared to a LVL 100 Frostleaf.

damage to cost ratio is better, and his damage ramps up a lot faster.

Yeah I made it to Z200 yesterday with a lvl 1000 Samurai, Lvl 150 Frostleaf, Lvl 1075 Treabeast, and Lvl 1025 Ivan! I am pretty excited! I beat my previous zone lvl by 40 lol.
EDIT: Im consistently getting to Z200 everyrun I do! I just have to wait for like a 15 min gold quests finishes and cash it in near Zone 190. :)

You can with an active build and if you are patient but how i got my dread knight was to get to Z140 and ascend. once youve ascended enough, you get the dread knight in no time. He will easily get you to zone 250+

I find it extremely amusing that a silly clicker game seems to have one of the friendliest, most helpful forum communities I've encountered in a good while :D

Also, I lol'd when I pushed Treebeast to lvl 1000 and my mighty Frostleaf found himself relegated to contributing less than 2% of my total DPS!

Basically you can get dread knight once you can get frostleaf lvl 150 and tree and ivan to 1000. The reason why I believe that this community is so nice and helpful is becuase there is no salt or grudges in this game. Everyones goal is to get to high zones unlike shooter games where there is a competitiveness that drives people apart. :D

I've gone up to around level 250+ with just 80-100 HS, and you still can't afford dread lord then.

The trick to getting past level 140 is HS, and after you have 75 frostleaf, level all your other hero's up to around 5 figure 'O' costs, and then focus on getting tree east and onwards past level 1000.

At level 1000, heroes get 10x multiplier, and the cheaper ones initially become more stronger than latter ones. Just Betty and Midas don't become all that good individually, as one is for buffing all your other heroes and the other for gold.

I managed to get so high with so few HS because I got 4 gilds on Ivan drunken brawler, and he became my highest DPS hero when levelled over 1000.
