Why is the Dread Knight so expensive?

The Dread Knight costs 10000U which is so much more than Frostleaf which is only around 2000S. Also, It is impossible to progress past zone 140 without any thing higher. I end up just having to ascend since i cant seem to get past 140 effectively. How did you guys get past this barrier. Im making it to zone 140 in one day and then just ascending to get hero souls ot upgrade my ancients.

Ancient Dogcog... lowers the cost of hiring and level up of heroes once you get him and level him up. Quite nicely if you have a relic that adds +4 levles to him.

It's a break hero. Slows down things for a bit until you have Ancients and Relics and have them leveled up enough to move into the next game stage. It takes a while, but as you ascend and get more HS, it will get easier. I am still a wee little in the game, I only just beat level 1500. But I have the Knight hired and being leveld up in about 10-15 minutes after aacending now. And there will be more breaks as you move up. I am stuck trying to get Cadmia right now, it will take me some time to get things to where I need them to be to be able to get her and rock on to level 1600.

It's not a fast game. It isn;t meant to be beaten in a month or 2. Patience, perseverance and following some of the excellent guides posted here, and you will get there. :)

Ah, thank you Froggy. I have the whole list for an idle build, and am gritting my teeth at getting Solomon leveled up. He gets darn expensive, darn fast. ;)

But the guides and a Clanmate who has been playing for some time gave me the list of what I needed to have and focus on. Just wish I had found a Clan when I first started playing, not after a month of slow progress. Much better now, gets better each day and each ascend. :)

Yes. I have mammon, dogcog, and the ancients that increase DPs and gold while idle.

In my opinion, Dread Knight was meant to be expensive so the game would tell you to ascend. For example -

You: Finally I got Frostleaf! Now I can grind efficiently for Dread Knight!

Game: I hope he ascends to achieve Dread Knight quicker.

See what I mean? Most people probably don't even know if ascending is good or not. They're afraid to ascend for the first time because they don't want something to ♥♥♥♥ up. Usually people ascend when they only have like 1 or 2 souls. I've even seen people ascend when they just got amenhotep (I think that's the guys' name.)

Summary: The game wants you to ascend efficiently.

what the reason to ascend on lvl139? u will get few souls... better lvl up hero such as The masked samurai to get 4x and 10x amplify dmg and go as far as u can.

Lol! Yep. Early in the game Dread Knigt is the break point where the game is *poking* you to tell you to ascend, until you get the right Ancients. learn which heroes and Ancients to level up (and why), and yeah, early game you will not get huge amounts of HS. As you get to where the Knight is quick and easy to get and level up, you will progress to another break point, where the game will strat *poking* you again. (I am there now, lol!)

It gets better as you go on. If you follow the Guides for idle or active builds. But it never has been and never will be a game you can beat in a month. :)

i think it's no use for me to read faq for this game cause i played this game 2k+ hours, and already my own game style. i just don't realize why u advcing him to ascend on lvl139

Ive done 5 ascensions. I dont really like these walls. How much ascensions do i need? like 150?

DO you guys have anytips to help move pass beyond Zone 140 and get the dread knight. I can get to 140 in about 8-10 hours of time.
EDIT: Just did an escension and got to Z140 in 30 mins.

you have to max that ancient though to get the 50% off but its well worth it i pay 4999U for dread now and 5000$ for atlas
