Not getting nearly as many Ancient Souls as I should, is my game bugged?

Instead of flooding someone else's discussion, I decided to start one for my specific issue.
After reading that someone not nearly as high in the levels as I am got more Ancient Souls than I'm even sitting on at the time, I got curious. A nice person linked me this https://www.reddit.com/r/ClickerHeroes/comments/4i33vw/beta_the_current_state_of_for_now_with_regards_to/
regarding how Ancient Souls are calculated. According to this, I should be getting 47 AS as I currently have over 2.000M Hero Souls spent. But I'm not, I'm sitting on only 8AS provided I Transcend right now. And I need to earn 400M more HS just to get one extra AS.

So... is my game bugged or am I simply reading this all wrong...?

I explained in the other thread, but you're reading it wrong.

You earn each spot on that table once. When you transcend, you stay where you're at. If you transcend at 1012 Hero Souls for the very first time, then you get some Ancient souls. You *still* have 1012 hero souls of progress, but you need to reach the next milestone to see +1 Ancient Soul in-game.

I'm at +0 Ancient Souls, and I need 141 Q souls to get +1 Ancient Soul. This is normal, since I'm not going for 1 Ancient Soul, but the 103rd.

Oh, I see, so the AS are counted in my lifetime.

I have transcended once and that gave me 38AS, and am currently sitting on 8AS, meaning I "earned" 46 in total and am currently waiting to earn a 47th one.

Thank you so much for your time, I think I ended up editing my post while you were writing yours. I think I finally get it, now the chart makes sense to me.

No problem. Just transcended and I'm bored to tears grinding out the first ascension, so I have time. :)
