I don't get Transcendence
On the Transcendence tab, it reads this to me: Next AS at 2.148e5, which are Hero Souls, I presume.

Currently, I have 1.021e6 Hero Souls, so definitely more than what Transcending for a single Ancient Soul should require. But, after clicking the Transcendence button, it shows me that I would gain 0 Ancient Souls, so here I am, confused.

Look below 0 Ancient Souls
You'll Trancend for +1 (or whatever number)

Also the 3rd line, Next AS : number
That number counts down, when it reaches 0, you get +1 AS when you Transcend.

I don't understand something else about transcendence....Shouldn't it be somethng that makes you more powerful? I transcended for the first time and now my anceints are gone, (I KNEW that was going to happen...) amd I am back to square one with very, VERY slowly inching my way back to my first asscension to gain a massive 3 hero souls......Hmmm? It seems all those tens of thousands of hero souls I earned and spent on increasing/buying aceints have gone to complete waste. I don't seem to be any more powerful, progress is not sped up AT ALL, and when I look at the transcendence tab, it says I am gain 1.34% power increase...WTF? That's IT? A measly 1.34% increase for about 6 months worth of grinding? So what the hell is the point of transcendence?

Thank you for that. It's a little clearer now. But until I start hitting these levels, I'm still skeptical at the moment. I will keep reading and playing, see what happens.

Dw barral - as someone who hit around stages ~2300 before transcendence becamea thing, I noticed the bonuses pretty much right away. Only the first run after transcending is somewhat slow and once you ascend after that, depending on how you spent Ancient Souls, you get back to level 100 in matter of ~10-20 minutes. Compared to not transcending a few good years ago, second run used to take like a few hours still, I think, so that's a huge leap.

And with every run you'll be getting many more Hero Souls from that Transcendence power (the very bottom guy on the list) than you'll ever get from Solomon (ancient) itself.

The jist of it is, it's rather important not to screw up your first transcendence by buying the wrong upgrades from that list.

That's what I was missing, thank you.

Oh just you wait, just you wait. I'm only once transcended and was skeptical at first being completely reset and now im sitting at level 2310 with 79,853k hero souls upon ascending where before i was struggling at level 1600-1800 with around 200,000 hero souls upon ascending.

The others in this thread may have answered a few things already, but I'll answer anyway.

You get the next as at X. This means you will have to acquire X amounts of HS to get the next AS. If you have 1e6 HS, which equals a million hero souls, and you have to gain 5e5 for the next AS, which equals 500.000 HS, you have to gain additional 5e5 HS.

A new transcend is always slow, but you can make it faster in a few ways. Save up one or two Quick Ascends. They cost 50 rubies each and will give you ~4HS at the beginning. Another good way is to save raid rewards from clan bosses.

Before transcending, it's always a good idea to plan ahead. Usually you do this a few days before each transcend. It involves farming rubies and making use of mercenaries, which you get to keep trough transcends.

A good start requires not only rubies, but relics as well. For one of my recent transcends I saved a 30+ relic reward and used it after transcend. This gave me a lot of relics which sped up my first ascend. So instead of painfully grinding five hours before first ascend at level 100+, it took less than half an hour. Always use the idle bonus relics at a new run. They're the most valuable, especially Siyalatas.

To find out when you should transcend, I recommend that you check out the FAQ on reddit.

I'm back to zone 3000 my current run, and stack alot of levels on Solomon and pony boy netting me about 1 billion per primal boss right now

That's nice. It's always fun to see how many more hero souls you get for each transcend. My max reward per primal boss atm is at ~7e26, which would in decimal be 700,000,000,000,000,000,000,040,856 HS :P
