Collect Ancient Souls

I just play again after long time, and there is new function Transcend for Ancient Soul. I try it and get 30 Ancient Souls but lost everything (which is disaster because currently the price to level up Ancient seem changed, I got some important Ancient with very high level from the past because they're cheap, now they're expensive).

Oh well, fine, I restart with 30 Ancient Souls, level up Ponyboy Lv3, Chor'gorloth Lv3, Phandoryss Lv10, Xyliqil Lv2, and now I recognize level up Phandoryss is a bad choice.

Even with those boosts (I don't know what they called), it's take really long to Transcend again, after a few weeks, I only get more 23 Ancient Souls if I Transcend. I wonder if I need higher amount Hero Souls each time I Transcend?

When I look at the Achievement page, it say Acquire 100k Ancient Souls, is that even possible? I play almost a month and only get 53 Ancient Souls.

I'm planning focus level up Ponyboy, Rhageist, Chor'gorloth. If you have any better idea, please give me advice.

at the beggining ponyboy and chorgoloth and really important. phandoryss only helps you with the 1st ascension after transcenion. rhageist can be helpfull as well, but definitely try to keep kumawakamaru effective by leveling borb. he speeds up the progress by giving only 2 monsters per zone. and achivements like 100k ancient souls take a while but are possible. on my biggest transcenion i got 9k ancient souls, my progress is slower now, but i still get some thousand.

Phandoryss is not a bad choice. It is one of the 4 Outsiders that you should end up using once your Transcendent Power (TP) reaches the 24% or so (max is 25%). This is partly because each level only costs 1 AS and is therefore a useful place to put AS when you don't have enough to level any of the other Outsiders you want to level.

The first Ascension or two after Transcending can be slow but the increase in TP results in getting a lot more Hero Souls for each Primal Boss which will allow you to buy and level all the Ancients fairly quickly after Ascending a couple times.

Each Ancient Soul (AS) requires an increasing amount of Hero Souls (HS). So, yes you have to push your Highest Zone Ever (HZE) each Ascension in order to get the necessary HS to earn additional AS. On the new Outsiders tab there is a line that shows you how many HS you need to earn the next AS (Next AS: X.YYYeZZZ).

It is generally suggested that you should Transcend once you have done 3-4 Ascensions that end up increasing the amount of earned AS.

100k AS is definitely possible.... like all things with this game, it just takes time. Once you have 70k+ AS your HZE should be close to 1 million.

Until you reach HZE of 250k or so how you spend AS to level Outsiders isn't all that important... some are more beneficial than others, some will lose their effectiveness sooner than others as you increase your HZE. However, I don't think you will notice any significant changes in your overall progress by leveling up one Outsider more than another. You can use the information in the green circle with the "?" that is next to your Monsters/Zone information to see the impact that your current Ancient/Outsider levels are having.

In the end, you will find that the only Outsiders worth leveling are: Chor'goloth, Phandoryss, Ponyboy and Borb. Of these Borb will be the most important at this will keep your total Monsters per Zone at 2. (to progress as quickly as possible you need to max out Kumawakamaru's level (somewhere close to 15k) and then put levels into Borb.

Each time you Transcend you have the option to reset and reallocate all your AS, so AS originally put into Outsiders that were initially providing some benefit in the lower HZE areas can be moved and used to level the 4 Outsiders that become necessary at the higher HZE areas.
