Orange clickables on heroes?

I realized while playing that almost all of my heroes had orange faces. When I clicked on them they gave me gold and occasionally rubies like orange clickables. But I couldn't find information about these 'hero clickables' anywhere. Does anyone know what they are?

They have the faces of the clickables that give you gems. Its a little april fools gift.

you only get that once, right? cause no orange faces here, after i had them last year

If you do a game save and pay attention to how many you get, you can keep reloading a save to see if you get more in that round. I got 77 rubies the first time, reloaded, got 81, reloaded, got 85. I stopped with 85 rubies because I thought that was a decent haul imo.
Just to make it clear, these were different amounts of rubies every time, they WEREN'T stacking or adding/combining. It's just an idea to keep trying until you get what you think is a decent haul.
Correction: I was starting with a base of 45 rubies each time so it was actually 32, 36 and then 40 for each consecutive try.
