I have 3 autoclickers; 2 stay idle and the 3rd levels up a hero while game is open.
I run all 3 at the start of an ascension then when the game is underway I go into idle mode as I just described. I'll go back into active mode near the end of my run to get the last few zones with skills and then ascend again, rinse, repeat, etc.
Using the skills and autoclickers lose the idle bonus, you're not idle if you are clicking, auto or manual.
Exact. Otherwise the whole idle bonus would make no sense.
the autoclickers are the way to advance when the idle damage doesn't move you forward anymore, i level up my ancient in the order of: idle damage, gilded damage, all the money ones, the hero sould DPS one and then all the clicker ones and finally the rest.
when i can't advance anymore (it takes me over 24 hours to get to a level that doesn't die in a fraction of a second), i start my autoclickers and active skills, it advances me for about 8-10 hours more levels.
at the beginning, just have your souls in what makes you go forward
