Finally Made it to Skogur! This is What it Took
I did a lot of research to find out how to reach Skogur with no luck, but I finally made it! So in an effort to aid someone else who is trying to reach Skogur, im going to discuss my build.

First off, I had 186 ancient souls (AS) at this point, distributed like this:
Xyliqil: 0
Chor: 5
Phan: 17
Ponyboy: 16
Borb: 3
Rhageist: 3
Other Ancients: 2 (The last 3 ancients don't feel that strong to me)
This distribution got me to skogur after about 12 ascensions. The only thing I would change is to leave Phan at level 5 and use those souls to level Chor.

Next, I used an active build. Normally I would do an idle build but I managed to earn 5 auto clickers (3 clicking on monsters, 1 on Tsuchi w/ all gilds, and 1 on cid). The active build, or hybrid, worked really well because it allowed me to use skills, which is basically the reason i made it so far. I usually energized super clicks, whenever I stopped progressing.

Finally after I finally made it to Skogur, I had earned 53 AS and could not progress much farther, even after leveling him. I think to optimally make it to Skogur and use him effectively you need at least 200 - 210 AS, im pretty sure 180 is the bare minimum that you can use to make it to Skogur.

So thats it, im really hyped about making it to him but I fell asleep half way through writing this at 5:00 am. If anyone used a more optimal method to get to Skogur, please post I would love to hear it, and I will try to answer any questions that you guys have. Good luck to anyone who is still working their way up to Skogur! I hope this helps.

Well this new update made it a lot easier to get AS, so it took me about a week to get to him starting from 82 AS.

I don't think there is any benefit to leveling Cid beyond what you need to get all the available upgrades. That autoclicker would've been better used on the monsters (ie: 1 leveling Tsuchi and 4 on the monsters).

This is how i distributed my clickers before this set up, but I changed it because Tsuchi needs a lot of gold to level up. So, when Tsuchi stops leveling cid can continue to increase her click damage. I think my distribution helped me get pass about 220 more stages without the use of skills.

What ancients do/did you have? With Jug/Frags/Bhaal maxed out any increase in Click damage from Cid shouldn't even be noticible.

ETA: Just did a quick experiement test w/my current run: I had Cid leveled to 9999 (1.286e285 DPS) and was dealing 3.508e14734 DPS (Combo 2.000e7x) with the following levels in Jugg/Frags/Bhall:

Bhaal - 2.000e1905
Fragsworth - 2.000e1905
Juggernaut - 2.000e1524

I just leveled Cid as much as I could (to Level 308709 - 4.737e3815 DPS).

That e3815 new DPS from Cid did nothing to the e14734 DPS I was already dealing w/o Cid being bumped up.

... and I just lost all my Jugg combo and my new DPS is: 8.768e13206 DPS (so Cid's contribution is essentially non-existant).

Hmmm... maybe I leveled up my ancients before switching my method and thought cid was making a difference, I'll give it another go.

Ok so after my own test run, I found that it is still effective for me to use an auto clicker on cid. At stage 15574, cid does 1.006e996 click damage at level 35256. My DPS at this stage is only 1.443e974 with a jugg combo of 534K and skogur leveled to 1321 with all gilds on him.

Hero Soul distribution:
Bhaal: 1000s
Fragsworth: 1000s
Juggernaut: 10000q
Im assuming at much higher levels dps becomes more effective than click damage, because it seems like greedy is much farther than I am and cid is basically useless to him.

Odd/Interesting. Would you mind posting a more complete listing of your Ancient levels? You can use Clicker Lister (https://graceoflives.github.io/clicker-lister/).

The linked was flagged, But here are my ancient levels as of now:
Argaiv: 1000s
Atman: 150
Berseker: 150
Bhaal: 1000s
Bubos: 150
Chawedo:150
Chronos:150
Dogcog: 150
Dora: 150
Energon: 150
Fortuna: 150
Fragsworth: 1000s
Hecaton: 150
Jugg: 10000q
Kleptos: 150
Kuma: 162
Mammon: 2000s
Mimzee: 2000s
Morgulis: 10000!
Plato: 2000s
Revloc: 150
Sniperino: 150
Vaagur: 150
The levels are a little different from when I ran the test, because I ran the test before I used some of my hero souls. I also accidently maxed out Kuma, so my heroes are not exactly leveled up the way I normally would.

Why did you level Phan over Chor and Pony?

Why did you level Phan over Chor and Pony?

Well Phan over Chor seems to be a regular thing and its pretty obviouse to me since the growth in price together with the exponentual decrease of the bonus from chor against the constant price and exponential growth of the benefit of Phan.

Why Phand over Pony:
If you double your damage you get about 40-50% more HS (my experience sofar) while if you put double AS in Pony you get about 40% more HS. Thats why you should spend the AS evenly in those - therefore Pony has a lower level because of price-growth
Ocho Muerte Jan 9, 2018 @ 10:02am
Are you using some type of rule to level them up? It seems like you level chor once for every 8 levels of phan, and just about 1 level for pony for every 5 levels of Phan.
Elladan/Dave Jan 10, 2018 @ 5:34am
Nah i just guess. Pony and Phan just get an even amount of AS. Chor probably stay at 2/3 of phans level as it seem - maybe a bit higher in future
WizziPop Jan 10, 2018 @ 10:23am
I do some maths (very basic) to compare the benefits of Phan and Pony.
Phan costs 1 As / level, so I just compare 1 level of Pony with "Cost of Pony" levels of Phan.

Example : 1 level of Pony (from 12 to 13) costs 13 AS. So I compare 1 level of Pony with 13 levels of Phan (which have the exact same cost).

Then, I do the maths :
Benefits of Phan = (actual level + intended additional levels) / actual level
Benefits of Pony = Intended next level bonus / actual bonus

If Benefits of Phan >> Benefits of Ponys, I level Phan up (and vice versa)
Otherwise if the benefits are similar, I level them up equallly.

That's how I end up with Phan lvl 79 and Pony lvl 14 (previously Phan lvl 52 and Pony lvl 12).
