Can someone explain "V + Enter Value" for me?

I never really had to use this feature before because I manually upgraded my ancients, but now that I'm rolling around in so many souls, it's such a chore to level them all up.

To put it simply, I have (right now) 2.770e227 hero souls.

I want to get it to where I can level up my ancients so that it'll cost no more than 2.770e220. I usually level every ancient equally and stop at a certain price point, and then dump the extra souls into the ancients I prioritize over the others. Still, I like to level up my ancients evenly. Thus, in this case, I'm currently trying to level all of them to the point of where they'll cost a max of 2.770e220 or so. At this point, the numbers won't really start dropping until I approach the 2.770e227 mark more.

Is there some sort of formula or something that can help you get it to the max price you're willing to spend on leveling ancients? It says "Enter value" and I played around with it some, but then ended up spending way too much, not knowing the formulas, and messing it up and having to import my save (I save after every ascension for reasons like this)

Better yet, is there some sort of online calculator that would help? I searched around Reddit and other forums and ended up being confused. Math was not my forte and I'm wondering if there's some simple way of doing this. Keep in mind that I only just discovered it despite being a novice in the game so I'm clueless about how to use this feature.

I wish they'd implement a better and more user-friendly way of leveling up ancients. This way seems to be confusing for me and for others. Devs, if you see this post, please consider doing something to "dumb down" this feature and make it more user friendly. This new patch is giving me thousands of ancient souls per transcension and I really need to figure this stuff out or else leveling ancients is going to be one giant confusing nightmare.

Just enter in 1e215 for all the ones you want to upgrade and then top off manually as needed
