How to gild and upgrade heroes after Wepwawet reached 150?

Should I go immediately to Betty or should I wait for more?

Once Wepwawet reaches level 1500, switch to Betty. Once Wepwawet reaches level 2000, switch to Midas.

From there, some people say to regild to Wepwawet once he reaches level 5000. The thing is, he would have roughly the same cost-effectiveness as Midas at that point. But once Wepwawet reaches level 6000, he beats Midas.

As for any heroes after Wepwawet, regild to them as soon as you can afford them.

Betty becomes obsolete at 9850 and Midas at 12500 so get Wepwawet to 2000 and switch to Midas from Betty after she reaches 9850, then switch from Midas back to Wepwawet once Midas reaches 12500.

Haven't been following the "meta" trends since coming back for the recent update. I think my methods are out of date as I see everyone talking about Wepwawet. I can't get him to the point yet where I unlock his 1500 skill, but should I keep all my Gilds on one character for now? I doubt the Treebeast method is that great anymore and it's what I've been using.

Treebeast method is obsolete if you already have Wepwawet. Just dump all gilds to Wepwawet and get it to 1500, then switch to Betty and dump everything on her, when Betty is 9850 get Wepwawet to 2000 (it's easy at that point) and switch to Midas dumping everything on Midas.
Once Midas is 12500 switch back to Wepwawet and dump all gilds back to Wepwawet, keep at Wepwawet until you can afford the next hero.
If you cant reach those levels then you need some more ascensions or transcensions.
