It's *ALWAYS* worth it to have this. Consider it this way:
We've freshly transcended.
Treebeast l.1 = 5dps
We have 50 rubies, so we can buy a QA or the 2x.
QA = 7 Hero Souls @ 10% per soul.
Treebeast is worth 8.5 dps with the QA, or 10 with the 2x.
Let's do our thing and eventually transcend again, with 50 rubies again.
QA last transcension, QA now yields... 8.5 dps
QA last time, 2x now yields 10, because the Hero Souls from the last transcension are *gone*.
2x then, QA now yields 17, because the 2x you bought last transcension is *forever*, and you were able to get 7 Hero Souls from a lead-off QA.
No reddit-level math needed. 2x > QA.
The whole point of that was to acknowledge that the opinion probably wouldn't hold up under careful analysis. Fair enough, though. Comment deleted.

at high levels it is kinda pointless, though im happy its useful after transcensions
