Framerates and Speed
Hello to anyone that is able to help me out with this problem I'm having. I have a 144hz monitor and a 60hz monitor, and I go to test games out on the 144hz monitor the events and game runs how I want it to run but when transfer to a 60hz monitor it is slowed down and it takes it longer to complete events and even moving. I want to know how can I keep the speed of the game the same when switching between monitors.

Thanks

How do I add it? I'm still a newbie on these engines lol

Save the text as FPSLimit.js and place it in your game's js/plugins folder

It says it failed to load. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Here is a simple 48 second video on how to add the plugin to your game https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/36790034/ShareX/2015/11/2015-11-03_21-11-56.mp4

Awesome, I got to work but it's still slow on the 60hz monitor.

It's running at the speed it should be running at, I assume you mean. Press F2 while ingame to see your FPS.

Okay, thank you. I see that the engine run games at a fast rate than it should be? Is that why it's faster on a higher refresh rate monitor than it is on a 60hz monitor.

The engine by default runs at 60FPS. It appears by going over this limit in any MV games you play that do not have an FPS limit run at an increased speed dependant on your monitor's refresh rate.

I own a 144hz monitor myself. If you have a 2x speed issue with another user's game, be sure to inform that they should add the FPS limit plugin to their game.
