Im here for userful and handsome scripts.
The rest of us have ascended. You are the only one remaining. Perhaps you will create your own legacy.
That is not even talking about RM relying on other software and needing to deal with what that does and does not support.
Because better codecs exist that support file sizes just as small, if not smaller, than MP3 without sacrificing as much audio quality.
stick the word 'save' in your YT URLs (instead of youtube-dot-com/watch?v=blah, do saveyoutube-dot-com/watch?v=blah) and download the m4a unless you want to somehow hack mp3/wav support into something that was not designed to support it in the slightest.
Alternatively, download the MP3s and convert them
This is not MV's issue, this is an issue with HTML5
By the way, It seems that Construct 2 need also OGG even if you have the M4A version.
M4A is for some browsers that not are compatible with OGG.
Since you mention Construct 2, they have a pretty good post on the subject: https://www.scirra.com/blog/64/why-you-shouldnt-use-mp3-in-your-html5-games
