RPG Maker MV
Sprite Generator- Kid Parts
First off, YES you can copy the adult hair, etc to the kid folder. It looks a little funny on the sprites, especially with bangs that are pulled back (since the sprite is shorter) but works fine on the face pic.

However! I noticed a pretty huge lack of fanmade stuff for the 'kid' sprite in the generator. We need clothes! and also maybe some adjusted hairs so it doesn't look so funky?

Actually, basic clothing in general would be... amazing if someone could make a ton. Nothing fancy, nothing insane. Just a nice, medieval shirt and pants, or peasant dress, with variations. Gotta clothe those townsfolk, after all!

So yeah, that's my lil' post here. I'll probably make some hair eventually, but I'm not good enough at pixel editing to do decent clothing which is be the reason for post.

Didn't the kid generator get released only a week or so ago? A lot of people probably haven't even discovered it yet, let alone started making assets for it yet. It's just going to take time and patience really - but kudos on raising awareness.
Oh, really? I only just got MV yesterday- I had an older version before, and the demo but I didn't know the kid generator was so new! My point still stand though- and I might add, the comment about the clothes applies to the adults as well. There's just nothing SIMPLE in the generator right now. I took a closer look at the hairs in relation to the kid sprite, I /think/ if you just move the entire chunk of hairs down by like... four or five pixels, it'll fit the kid pretty well. They do have smaller skulls on the face sprite though, so stuff like mohawk hairs will have to be adjusted.
Yeah, I'm kind of surprised Degica didn't just recycle stuff like hairs and accesories for kids by simply re-positioning the layered sprite components internally. Cheaper than repositioning every existing component and rendering to a new spritesheet.

The clothes I don't think will recyle well because of interpolation. Unlike hairs and accessories which can simply be moved downwards to match a new height, the clothes would need to be resized. Scaling pixel art downward, let alone at a non-equal ratio, is bound to look terrible as pixel data begins to overlap.

In any case - for being such a new and incomplete feature there seems to be a bit of attention in our community to soon make use of it personally. I wouldn't doubt you will see more assets added by Degica and in workshop in a near future.

I'm still in the process of trying to match the style of the default resources, but I've gotten the hang of how to make things recolorable both on the pixel sprite and the face icon. As of about two days ago. Now, the naming convention for resources, I must say, STINKS. Makes user-made content installation a nightmare. I suggest the extended generator Shlangan made some time ago, it's on the rpg maker forums. I'll try to post some basic clothing parts when I get the time, maybe later this week.
