If this indeed is the problem, you uninstall nwjs from your computer. The next time you run your game, it should automatically install nwjs at the version needed for your game.
I think I had the same issue once, but I am not sure. For me uninstalling NWJS fixed the problem, though.
It is much like a player for your games. (That is not what it is, but that is how it is used by RPG maker)
Removing it is safe, it will just re-install as soon as you try to run your game. If not, then re-installing MV should fix it too... But I am pretty sure that isn't nessecary.
But then again... Who games on apple? No-one games on apple! :p

As for "gaming" on Macs, game creation is really a different category from gaming and many people do content creation and game development on Mac. It's a big loss, and one I wasn't informed about when purchasing my new laptop.
Because... I think it should not be that hard (for someone who knows about that stuff, which is not me) to build an emulater to run the games. It is just javascript after all.
But if it is the software that doesn't run, that would be a totally different story.
Edit: Oh nevermind. You already said it was NWJS that doesn't run, so indeed it is the games, not the software, right?
