High DPI scaling issue

After the 1.6.0 update when starting the program directly from its executable the UI is scaled so much that part of the toolbar is off screen and and the event and database windows are cut off at the screen edges too.

When starting through the Steam launcher everything remains normal.

Same here, but opening with either via the Steam Launcher or by accessing the project file still makes the RMMV heavily scaled.

Just to clarify, because some people he seem to say the opposite to what I am experiencing: Starting through Steam does NOT scale - on my 2160x1440 screen it is very small. Annoying, but I'm used to it. When starting the software directly it DOES scale - the various elements of the program are scaled so large they do no longer fit onto the screen.

I think we can all agree whether it is your specific scaling issue kitty or my own, there is some serious scaling issues in general in Ver 1.6.0

Certainly. But we can also agree that the developers need to know that users have both issue to sort out the bugs.

My experience with 1.6 was that the game window was scaled (+25% for me, which matches my DPI scaling) but the editor itself was not. This occurred regardless of how I opened MV.

We received some update that it's a recent Windows Update issue and it should be resolved once it completely installs itself. So the answer was, make sure your windows update is completely installed.

Yes, some basic security updates. I'll look which ones once I get the PC running again.

Mine is Windows 10. Prior or after the update of RMMV 1.6.0 there were no updates.

EDIT: Actually, some tweaks within the .exe's properties has made the effects far more bearable. I have made the Property setting to be like this:
