spacing battlers out more in active party
Hey there,

I am currently setting up my battle system for my project. I am using yanfly's party and row plugins as of now. I am running with 6-7 characters in the player battle party. I am also using one of Victor's plugins that allow me to use larger/static battlers for the player characters. I plan to make these battlers animated later as I flesh out the project more, so the static images are placeholders for now.

It is working but the character models are overlapping each other a fair bit in battle - i'm wondering if anyone has a suggestion on how to space them out better.

What parameters in the settings and/or plugins should I be altering to add more space between characters in the party?

I would assume that if I just make the battlers smaller then perhaps more space would be between them, any suggestions for me to keep my larger battlers and space things out more in the battle party?

Well solved it :)

I misunderstood how to use the SVactorposition plugin.

Fixes this issue right quick when used properly. For anyone else that are new and looking at this issue - there you go :)

Are you also using Yanfly's ANimated SV enemies plugin? I've been having problems with that all week! My problem is the same as yours, except without the static placeholders.

Yes I am using yanfly's animated SV battlers. SVactorpostion plugin was conflicting with yanfly's Row Formation - once I turned off row formation - then worked out the placements I wanted, I setup the x/y for each actor in the SVactor plugin. And it worked.

I also set it up for a 6-person party. Which is nice that the spacing I used seemed to work out.

How did you work out the placements? I'm trying to put together some battles using the Animated SV plugin, but the enemies are so close that they're practically hugging each other!

Do you mean close to the heroes?

I have not looked at enemy placement other than what is the default for the sideveiw battler plugin.

I was using the SVactorreposition for the hero placements. One sec I will get an image to show.

What I used in the plugin for my hero characters...

Here is an example of the the format I have from those placements...

Not sure if that helps. I have not looked at enemy placements yet.

My problem is that the enemies are placed way too close to each other.
Here's what I mean. https://imgur.com/MhUru1p
The plugin in question gives some instruction regarding anchor location & sprite scaling manipulation, but so far, testing hasn't yielded any noticeable changes. https://imgur.com/6Zok40R

I rewatched the video. Turns out I just needed to adjust the anchor coordinates differently for each enemy. Guess it should've been obvious. How embarrassing!

Been stuck on this for weeks! I really thought you were able to align the enemy in the same rows formations as your party?
