Battle Background Problem
I'm using side view battles and custom resolution plugin. I am running the custom resolution at 1920x1080. When I get into a side view battle this is what goes wrong with my battle background:

How can I fix this problem? I would be very appreciative if anyone could help me out.

You have to create a background that is 1920x1080 in resolution, or create a plugin that scales images to fit the screen.

Any advice if I have no plug in creation experience or experience in creating battle backgrounds? I've been doing some googling, but looks like nobody has made any in 1080P. I'm new to RPG Maker so sorry if this is super obvious stuff, but I am not too knowledgeable about this.

You can simply up-scale the image to the 1920x1080 size, but it will look blurry.
Fast way would be to go to Game > Open Folder.
Then go to img > battlebacks1 to find the battle background you want. Right click on it and open it in photoshop or whatever image program you have and resize it to 1920x1080. Then save it as a png in the same folder. It's going to be blurry, so you could run it through a sharpen filter in photoshop, but it's still not going to look super great if it's stretched to fit that resolution. Other than that, making an original 1920x1080 background is the better option. You could try looking for some graphic tutorials online. Even something abstract would work better than a blurry image.

My suggestion would be to use waifu2x ( http://waifu2x.udp.jp/ ) to upscale your images. It's not perfect, but the system does its best to make sure your resulting image is no longer blurry.

If you want to rescale using Photoshop, you can simply ctlr + alt + i -> uncheck Contrain Proportions -> change pixel diemsion to your desired size.

If you have ZERO artistic talent... dont bother reading the rest of my message, use the stock resolution of the game and build that way.

If you have moderate to skilled artistic talent and some knowledge of photoshop(EXPENSIVE!!!) and or GIMP(free!!!)then.....

1-Make your own. Which can take hundreds of hours if you want them to be nice and a large variety of. Use the originals that came with the game as an idea template for what you will need. Also you need to build them using layers, as the backgrounds need to be overlapped by the foreground, plus they need to blend together with all your other ones so you can mix and match fore/backgrounds.( I for one am looking forward to making all of my own from scratch with some image editing, but I KNOW that 90% of the people who bought this software were NOT expecting to do this and will spew much hate and rage into forums...at least Steam Forums because these arent nearly moderated enough and people get away with verbal murder here more often than not. )

2-A good idea...is to make the background/foregrounds, ONLY AS you need them. that way you wont feel like youve been sitting in a chair doing ONLY that for 3 months lol. Do like a plains/hills scene one, and then a forest/grassy one...build you starter areas for the game, and the assets/events for that area up to the next area... make more as you need em. or itll consume you and youll hate this crap lol.

3- Another way, is surf the net for images of the size you need. There are tons, and would require very little editing to put to purpose. Although using the images may/may not be crossing boundries on theft of property if you decide you want to sell your game. You will still need proper software PS/GIMP to build it in layers. Layering is one of the most simple features to use in those softwares. So even a noob will find little trouble doing it. (watch youtube vids on how to create layers...5 min later your layer adept.)

Contrary to popular belief....Hacked/Pirated versions of Photoshop are NOT a safe way to do anything. Also, if you use those methods, Photoshop tends to watermark things in a way you cant tell, so if you release something to profit using a hacked/pirate version of PS you can be sued and they can tell you used stolen software. I havent heard of it happening to anyone personally...but the chance is really not worth it. I dont think they give a crap if its a non profit game tho.

Tried this out of curiosity and I did not find this useful for scaling up to 1980x1020. Was still blurry and required two attempts of scaling to get close to size i needed. Also seemed shady and insecure, especially if you were throwing custom stuff through it. "hey i like that one "yoink" appears in next game made from korea..."
