I have looked everywhere, but i can't find out how to change where my character spawns. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

One more question, if i cover an already existing tile with a different tile, will it still be there in the background?

Depends on what tiles you are doing it with.

Depends on what tiles you are doing it with.

Here is a example.

If i put a grass tile down, but then covered it with a desert tile, would the grass tile still be in the background of the map?

Most tiles act on a single layer. So a normal grass tile would be replaced by the desert tile. A lot of what you can and can't do in terms of layering you'll come to understand as you mess around with the editor more.

Nope.

But if you were to put a B tile on top of it it would be

A is basically your ground and walls, while B-E are your props - shelves, helmets, wall decorations, trees, rocks, and so on.

There's a few forum threads and videos on mapping.

Ah! This answered a lot of my confusion, thanks. :)

One more question, what is the last tile page for? The one with numbers on it, i have searched everywhere but i can't find out what it is for.

That would be regions. There's a few scripts that make use of them that are really nice, such as Yanfly's regional battlebacks (battlebacks changes based on the region tile the battle takes place on).

The ones that reside in the tab labeled "B".
