Report a translation problem
The source control would probably be absolute hell unless you all keep to very specific areas (one guy is maps only, one guy is sprites only, etc)
Data files are split into each of the resource types (images and audio, each sub-categorised) and database entries (one file per database tab). So one way it could work is to make sure each contributor is restricted to certain resource types/database tabs, and use a cloud service to sync only the relevant files/folders from each user. =)
Another alternative is the Steam Workshop as suggested above, though in that case I'd make sure that each person does their work and updates the shared project before someone else contributes, as I'm not sure how the Workshop handles the syncing process.
