Odd Save Screen Lag? (Fixed)
This is a new one for me, so I was wondering if anyone knew a fix or has atleast experienced the same issue.

Up until today, my new project has been working exactly as it should be. However, after using SumRndmDde's Super Tools to fix my in-game menu around, I came upon an odd "bug" I've never encountered in my hundreds of hours working on this engine. When I went to load my game from the main menu, it took about 15-30 seconds for the save screen to actually show, instead of just popping-up instantly like normal. I press Load Game, menu commands disappear like they're supposed to but then it's just half a minute of my title screen before the save screen finally displays.

Opening up the save screen while actually in-game also has a bit of "lag", but it's shorter at around 5-10 seconds. And oddly, when I have no saves in-game, the main menu itself takes around 25 seconds to show (As in I press the playtest button, "Made with MV" opening shows up, 25 seconds of nothing, then menu finally displays). But only when I have no saves. If I have atleast 1 save, main menu pops-up instantly as normal.

I only started experiencing these problems AFTER I used Super Tools, so that may have something to do with it but, no has posted anything similar when I checked the plugin's comments on Dude's website. I do also use Yanfly's save core, but I have never encountered any issues while using that plugin in the past and I do not believe it is the cause for the issue. I experience no other lag in my game besides these points and I've never experienced issues with loading and saving on this project until today.

I know this is a relatively small issue since all my game's functions work, it just takes a tiny bit longer. Nonetheless, I still find it very annoying (especially when I'm testing) and I'm sure players will complain about it (with good reason). Any help with fixing or figuring out this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Nevermind, I was able to fix the problem myself, quite simply actually. All I had to do was make a new project and simply paste all the folders of my original bugged project (Not including saves or the game.rpgproject file itself) into the new one, overwriting the new project's folders and data. Loaded up the new project to find that everything is back to normal with the menu's coming up instantly. Not to mention, everything from my original project was carried over, even the edits I made with Super Tools, so I literally don't have to back-track or spend anytime remaking my original project. I can go right back to where I left of. Literally couldn't have asked for a better solution.

Yeah, the save game was the problem.

You have changed a plugins that alters the way yhings are saved/loaded. This gives problems when trying to load files from before the change.

When you encounter testrun problem without a clear reason, always try removing the "save" folder first. You can just delete the whole folder (but have to start testing from scene 1 again). In about 50% of the cases, this will solve the problem completely.

You didn't actually have a bug in the game, changing the game just made your save file not work in your new project.

Sorry for the very late reply. I see you solved it already though. I wonder why no-one else gave this (or any) answer.
