doesn't seem to matter i can even move a functioning one to the tile and it stops working right
nope none of what you said is the issue. it is the only tile so far in the game that transfer player doesn't work.
Doesn't really matter anyways nobody will notice there was a problem since i put a pillar there anyways. So far my experience with mv has been inconsistent. Sometimes things work a certain way and other times you have to work them differently to get them to work. I don't mind having to work around stuff but i really wish mv would be more consistent. This trial version is giving me plenty of reasons as to why i shouldn't buy as i don't have these types of issues with ace. There's also the fact that saves don't update properly too.
You shouldn't blame the software. You have done something wrong. If it works on one map, and not on the other, it might not be the event that isn't working, but maybe the map.
Have you checked upon your tilesets? Maybe a tile is blocking your way, when it should be passable? Or maybe you can try deleting that specific tile from your map and redraw it? It coul be that you have had a invisible tile placed over a troughway, one that is blocked for passage.
Anyhow, we can not help you without seeing information. If you can post the even, as it looks in your editor, then we can see what is wrong.
One thing you might check, in the map where your transfer leads you to. Open the tileset used on that map, and check if the very first, blanco tile of set B is passable. If not, then make it passable and try again.
there should be no issue with that particular tile all other tiles work properly i cannot find anything wrong with it like you said i step right on the transfer player tile and it doesn't work and it's counterpart also works that one transfer player tile is the only one that doesn't work.
I can and will blame the software if it is as weird an issue as this. Why because in the 3 years i have spent using vx ace i've never had this problem before, yet here using rpg maker mv i somehow run into some issue i have never run into before within the first 30 days and somehow it is not the software's fault? That's about as believable as a flying pig.
No piece of software is perfect if it was we wouldn't need patches or updates it's clear to me that mv is inferior in terms of reliability to ace. If there's one thing i value it is reliability.
The trial version should be up to date like the regular mv not an old version. I mean if you run into problems in the trial version that just makes it less likely people will buy it because they expect this to be there in the full version.
So... Do you want help, or do you just want to blow off steam?
If you need help, you need to listen to the advise we give you. If you just want to blow off steam and blame your mistakes on anything or anyone else, then I'll just stay out of it.
Haver fun figure it out on your own, mate.
Just saying, is it all works fine for us, and not for you, it most likely is you. I have worked for years with VX Ace and also with MV, and I sometimes still need help myself. I also make mistakes. I just know for sure, that the error is mine, not the softwares. Just saying... You can figure out what you did, and solve it, or just get mad about it, and give up on it all together.
Honestly i think it's a little bit of both actually. I honestly don't know whats wrong all other transfer player events work yet any transfer player event placed on the specific tile doesn't. I do not understand why. Even placing a working one on the tile makes it stop working it defies logic. There's is nothing preventing the player from moving on said tile or anything. The event itself just doesn't seem to activate even while stepping on the tile it is on and it is set to player touch.
Is there a tab in the event page to the right of the transfering tab? If so, and that one does have conditions met, that will be the one activated on touch.
Most likely one of those should be the answer.
If not, upload a printscreen. If we can see what went wrong, we can help you.
