When you say they aren't there, do you mean they display as being blank, or do you mean that the actual file name doesn't display in the map window? If the later, are the maps actually not there, or are the file names simply not displaying in the window?
Also are their any technical issues with the missing maps when you play them? & when you access the project's folder containing the json files for those maps what do you see?
When I test play, it has no problem, it is exactly the same as before I have any problem.
In my editor's map properties window, my missing maps are not listed at all.
When I go to any related event in my working maps, the coditions are still connected to the missing maps.
When I go to the Event Searcher, I can still see my events are in those missing maps.
When I go to Data folder, I see those map's json files.
Thanks.
Did this problem coincide with the update, or did it occur after?
Also do you have any back ups of your project?
Thats drag and drop with the Mapnames.
Its like a spoiler you can click to open or close it.
I'm sure it's not a mistake placing them in a tree.
What's strange is that they are not missing in order, the missing maps seem quite random.
This is after update and quite awhile too.
Sadly my backup is quite far.
Also since I can still sort of access to my missing files but can't interact with them in editor
I'm not even sure if I should remake those maps in this project, because my script will have many hidden information if I continue from here?
You just dont see them in the Editor?
Doubtful,
If the tileset had been deleted the corresponding image files wouldn't pull up when they playtest, as there wouldn't be a link to the files, to access them.
So the files were accessible after the update, & then the error occurred later?
First, try uninstalling & then reinstalling the program. It has a tendency to shake loose strange program errors.
If that doesn't work, make a new project, then copy the json files over into the new project, to see if the map files are accessible in the map window. If the map files are readable, just transfer the rest of the corresponding data files into the new project, & then start making regular backups.
If neither of those two work, let us know.
In the mean time, its good practice to keep a triple backup of your project, one local where you work, one on usb stick and one compressed on dropbox just in case.
That way you can protect yourself from inconveniences like this.
Oh, and don't trust Steam cloud. Just don't.
