Most people's worldviews are simply houses of cards built upon deceptions even they don't really believe. Lies of omission, lies for the sake of vanity, lies for the sake of convenience, lies to absolve oneself of responsibilities, etcetera, etcetera. Deceptions are the lubrication of human social interactions, because you can't expose the deceptions of others, without risks to your own exposure.
So people always find people who forego deceptions, & dismiss their necessity as an irrelevance, disconcerting.
I don't feel the need to feign piety or patriotism, because I don't feel the need to demonstrate to others a fealty to gods or governments. I don't engage in the vanity projects of demonstrations of virtue like insipid hashtag thoughts & prayers for (insert fad cause of the moment), because I don't feel guilty about valuing a bauble or a distraction more than another random human being. Ergo, I don't feel the need to engage in the fantasy that a facebook post or a few dollars thrown to a charity campaign, is indicative of anything other than a surplus of time & funds.
Altruism is simply egotism cloaked in supposed virtue for the sake of the vanity of preening peacocks who anoint themselves moral.
If you honestly believe that, then you've lead a very sheltered existence. Or you're making a wholly arbitrary distinction that lacks any merit, due to its criteria being based on what provides you with emotional gratification.
War is merely an extension of diplomacy, insults merely an extension of social interactions.
First you are presoppsing that others share your intent, which is really just a manifestation of your own arrogance, in which you superimpose your own identity upon others, affixing your own motivations & mentalities upon the actions of others.
Second you are presupposing the reactions of others will be in accoradence with your own behavior patterns. Again your own inability to separate your own ego, is leading you to believe that others think as you do.
Which is ironic considering your entire problem is, that people aren't thinking & behaving as you would.
Again, VERY sheltered.
Normal as you are using it, is a wholly useless & arbitrary term, that stems from the inability of the individual to accept that the world doesn't comport itself in a manner they desire, & their own impotence to alter that reality.
But your own vanity won't allow you to assert that you desire dominion over others, for the sake of your own emotional gratification. Because seeking to have power over others isn't what a "good person" does.
& so you appeal to something outside yourself, rather than acknowledge the demands of your own ego. The name of the thing appealed to changes from individual to individual, but the behavior remains the constant.
Come now, grow a spine & show a little teeth.
Deception is tedious enough as is, deception of omission that fails to conceal, is monotonous in the extreme.
& not naming the names of the people you have issue with, doesn't deceive anyone.

Actually, the last few heart filled messages of mine have been song lyrics & movie quotes.
I tend to prefer insults like "vermin", "ignoramous", & "cretin"; or if going for lengthy barbs things like "failed abortion", "reason to lobby for better quality controls in condom manufacturing", & "walking, talking, defecating poster child for the societal benefits of eugenics".
♥♥♥♥, ♥♥♥♥, & ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ just aren't all that creative, so I use them rather infrequently.

"Sociopath" or more correctly Anitsocial Personality Disorder, is quite possibly the most over used medical diagnosis on the internet; usually by people who have no knowledge of let alone training in psychology.
In point of fact I am fully capable of empathy, I simply choose not to waste time & energy extending it to those I've no intention of acting on behalf of, as doing so amounts to nothing more than mental masturbation.
I.e. methodology, not malady.
I would further state, that insisting upon stating to others that one "cares" about the suffering of others to gain emotional gratification & ego validation, when one has no intent of acting to allevaite their traumas in any meaningful way, seems highly irrational.
Perhaps even, deranged.
To be fair, most gunfights are won by whoever shoots first...strategy and diplomacy shifts the balance of necessity, but a bullet is still a bullet.

Look - if we had moderators here to actually do the policing you expect then yes, things would be very different. This is why I insist you give the main forums a visit. There are roles there with actual administrative powers to forcefully clean up what you might call a mess here. I'm not saying that with rudeness or cruelty nor am I saying you should quit lurking here - but everything you say you expect in a community already exists there.
I keep re-iterating that we have no moderators here because that ultimately is the reason we have the kind of community we do. You cannot hope to change individuals who frequently rock-the-boat and ultimately are just wasting your time trying. There are no bullets here.
Lastly - It's not that I'm defending Harbinger's behavior so much as weighing both arguments from a third perspective. Harbinger actually has been sharing constructive criticisms since Post #1 while you are mostly frustrated over their constant use of vulgarity and lack of patience - traits you will probably never convince anyone to give-up with your choice of persuasion.
