You can also use copy- paste in your operating system. (Mac, windows or linux)
If the recources don't show up in your database, close RPG maker and re-open it. This normally only happens when you edit excisting files. Importing new filex should be visable right away.
- Partial tilesets, which may require resizing and/or splitting into separate files before they can be used. I use GIMP for image editing, but Photoshop or similar programs can do the job just as well.
- Generator parts, which go into the folders under Generator in your MV install directory (rather than a project folder). The naming scheme and setup is pretty intimidating, but hopefully if you have any they'll all be appropriately named and split into their appropriate folders already... xP
- Resources that don't seem to belong to any of the basic categories can probably go into the pictures folder, unless you know otherwise, e.g. if you're using a plugin that looks for character busts in the faces folder or something. I hear the medieval DLCs in particular need a fair bit of setting up.
Also, if you're uncertain about how files ought to be sized or formatted, you can check out the help file: Help > Contents (F1) > Documentation > Asset Standards. =)I'm aware it's there, I just don't count it as DLC. =)
Thanks allot for this. I was being greedy in wanting to copy everything out of excitement. Ill be using Recourse Manager for the time being. Is adding music similar to adding characters and tiles or dont you have to assign music to "group A" for example.
BGM (Background music)
BGS (Background sounds)
ME (Music effects)
SE (Sound effects)
They are all placed into the right folder in the DLC folder. You import or copy them to the folder with the same name, and you should be good to go.
Again, if after importing some music doesn't show, or shows old versions, restart the software.
