Adding Custom pictures
I was trying to put some custom pictures in the game. For example when walking up to a painting with your character and pressing the action button, it will display a photo or something in the screen.

I couldnt get this to work though, can anyone help me to get this to work?

Put the images in the correct folder. Display images with the appropriate event command. Both actions are independent of each other and can be trained separately. I suggest you start doing so until you are capable of actually expressing where you have a problem.

Why do you hate me?

I tried putting it in the right folder and tried every command I could think of.

Is there any type of file that needs to be used?

OK, are your pictures:
  1. In the correct project's img/pictures folder?
  2. In .png format?
You could also try saving your project, then closing and re-opening MV. Sometimes the editor fails to recognise when you update a project's resources while it's open.
