You found your Sci Fi ones that are included with the base gamemaker program already? They don't auto load into new projects but they are in the RPG maker folder. From the steam library menu select rpg maker mv right click choose proporties, go to the local content tab and browse your local files for tilesets. I'm not sure if there are any that don't load automatically seeing as I got RPG maker when it first came out and they were not all included in a new project then.

The Sci-Fi, or SF files are modern. just labled scifi because most MODERN settings are science fiction. But thats where you will find modern city tiles to work with to start.

I believe the default tilesets 5 & 6 are set up with the "sci-fi" tiles in a new project. Assuming you haven't deleted them you can check them out yourself in the database on the Tilesets tab. Alternatively you can change the tileset of an existing map by right-clicking it in the list on the bottom left and choosing Edit.

Make your own characters. if you look close there are modern looking suits for the characters in the ch. generator. Change colors to look like denim, etc. All the default stuff that was pre made is going to be heavy on the fantasy look so a bit of work on your part to make your characters rather than using Harold...etc.:steamhappy:

There are also a few sets of premade "sci-fi" characters, included in the base resources but not in a new project, that you can find and import via the Resource Manager (accessed from the Tools menu). Select the img/characters resource type on the left, then click the DLC button. There are some modern & sci-fi characters (including doors, boxes, vehicles, etc) under BaseResource/img/characters. Select whatever you like (multiple selections work) and press Open to import! =)

Note that, as detailed above, when using the Resource Manager you should be sure to select the correct category for the resources you are going to import before pressing the Import or DLC buttons.
