Report a translation problem
By default, enemies are static but the player's party members are animated. It's possible to animate enemies using a plugin; Yanfly's one is the most popular and is pretty simple to set up; you can check out the video here showing it in action: http://yanfly.moe/2015/12/13/yep-44-animated-sideview-enemies/
Just for information, plugins are essentially just another kind of file you copy into your project's folders, much like images/audio. They add to, or override, the base code so you can do more stuff. Some offer configuration options, too, which are all handled within the main editor.
