Footprints in snow
My game starts you out in a town in the middle of a snow storm and I want you to be able to leave footprints in the snow, sand ext. I already have Galv map effects and trying to learn to use it, but notice from reading it and checking the demo, that there isn't any footprints.

Can anyone help me with a so easy a caveman can do it way of adding footprints?

Off the top of my head, I would say eventing the tiles where the character will walk, so that when the player character touches the map event, it changes from transparent, to "footprints" to add them to that respective snow tile.

You'll need to draw out the "footprints" & have them on a character sheet, then designate for each tile. As swapping tilesets in eventing swaps the whole tileset for the map, rather than just single tiles.
Instead of using events as its predecessor did in Ace, this plugin uses animations. Have you made a footsteps animation?

I tried but I can't get it to seem to animate. Not sure if the issue is just the size of the image or not but currently trying to figure it out
I ask again, have you made an animation for it or tried using an existing one?

No I haven't made an animation for it, I was trying too but couldn't get the animation made.

No I haven't made an animation for it, I was trying too but couldn't get the animation made.
Have you then tried to set up the effect with an alternative animation instead so that you can slot in foot steps later on?

Just figured out what my issue was with it.

Edit: So now instead of showing the proper animation on the map for some reason I'm showing my character getting hit...

Ok finally got it working for the most part, admittingly a bit crude. But now how do I get it to rotate with the player so the foot prints are always behind you?
Due to the way animations work and this plugin applies them there's not much that can be done. You can make longer animations which will result in what you are asking for but can cause problems when the player is standing still.
Well I found a way around it so for the most part I got everything working right now.

We aren't looking at your plugins & events, we aren't looking at your project through your eyes. No one here is omniscient, nor are they mind readers.

We don't know what your issue was, or what you just implemented to solve it. We aren't seeing what you have done, & what you're still trying to fix.

You're asking people to help you fine tune something, with virtually no information about what they are fine tunning. We aren't at your desk with you.

Screenshots, videos, code, these are the things that good posts are made of; that provide the people you are asking for help, with the information to potentially actually help.

You're braindead, he asked for a way to make his animation rotate depending on the player position. Doesn't need anything to understand that.

Thanks for the laugh at trying to make yourself intelligent though.

I read a bit the plugin and the option doesn't seem to be there unless im missing something(l don't map so l'm pretty bad with those plugins). What l can say is that a lot of resources will be used if you're making it last longer like staying behind you for a while.

There could be a better solution like show picture on player position that lasts for x frames with a conditional branch that change that image depending on the player up/down/left/right. Just a random idea.
