"Artistic choice!" Yes. A really bad one.
Anyway. Turn the two post processing options down to low and off. Also, turn off the Exhaust effect option in the Accessibility menu. That ♥♥♥♥ effect is the worst offender.
But yes! As much as I appreciate the aesthetic, and they did a FANTASTIC job of making it feel “Saturday morning cartoon,” I see no reason my view past a few meters or anything not super close has to be “blurred.”
I realize that this was how television looked at the time but this makes range combat basically impossible for me due to my optical needs.
If you turn off post processing it helps a little bit, but the “blur filter” is INTENSE. When a lot of monsters are at a distance they blob together.
