Never a bad idea to roll with two spellbook types for your loadout
The ice effect itself does damage and applies status effect when enemies are inside the effect, but nothing happens when you just target the enemy from one area to another.
Fastest way is to stop casting and then recast it.
If you want less distance for the sorc, then the bow user should use arced projectiles for longer distances. Otherwise it should stay the same in terms of distance and maybe just adjust charging times, sorc taking more time compared to bow charged attacks.
Check out the buildings in the main menu (those in the background). For that, you'd need the Armoury building (the far left from the main menu).
The game is very unclear about the process.
1. Make sure you select Maggie as you can only see upgrades for your specific character.
2. Visit the armory.
3. I cant remember if her electric or ice books are unlocked by default or not but you should see at least 1 blue star under them to know they are selectable. If not you need to spend gold to unlock them.
4. Go to Hero Details before embarking.
5. On the left of Maggie there will be 2 green boxes indicating your weapons and you can select the box and change the weapon here to the electric or ice book.
Though understandable if you don't play games normally.
If you've seen few hundred (or less) games, then it's just about fine tuning what games you wanna play, instead of how to play them (personally played thousands, not through, but enough to understand the gameplay loop and get bored with it).
