Forever loading

Game shows the logo splash movies then just loads forever. Tried reinstalling the UE4 redist, turning off the AV and running as admin

sorry to hear that. i skipped that step and went to updating DirectX and it ended up working. Try reinstalling then updating DX. hopefully that will work. I think the VC shoulda been the 3rd step. grrrr. fun game so far crappy that myself and peeps have had such a hard time even launching the damned game. Try reading that tech forum seems more help there than steam forum. Hope it works out for ya.

No, DurectX doesn't work either. As I have DX11 for some reason it rejects all versions erlier including DX9.0c...I have to delete the DX exe and dll's from redistributables every time I install and run a game for the first time. With game on Origin, I have to delete everything but those files to correctly install. ot the only one with this issue either. Very common.

Good news: I was able to retore my PC to the time just before I tried the VC repair and the game now runs.
Bad news: takes forever to load as before:(

Hey peoples this may be a little late & I don't actually own this game but I was just doing some research for a friend & like many of the games I do own, telling the games .exe file to run using the nvidia graphics adapter solved his endless load times. I'm assuming that for some people this may fix this issue, if this doesn't work or you only have a single graphics adapter I apologise for wasting your time. If this does help you however than that is awesome as I know the frustration issues like these cause.
