Sorry to hear your issue.
There is already a topic on this issue: http://steamcommunity.com/app/363680/discussions/1/
Thank you.
Edit: I see you already addressed the other thread. My computer is running Vista, but is able to play all missions except for "The Hunt"
thank you for your reply.
You could see on the Minimum Requirements that Windows Seven or latest is needed.
Windows Vista doesn't support movies.
The Hunt begin with a video, this is why you can't play this mission, sorry.
A solution you can try is re-encode movies to an adapted format for your OS / WMV.
Thank you.
I am currently converting the Windows Media Audio/Video Files related to the mission into .wmv files using an online service into the same folder under:
"Steamapps >> common >> Battlefleet Gothic Armada >> BattleFleetGothic >> Content >> Movies >> Chapter4 ".
I converted 2 files into .wmv which are related to the mission. The files are " The_Hunt_fin " and " The_Hunt_Intro ". I figure the rest of the videos are nonessential to gameplay and can be found elsewhere if desired.
These converted files are running successfully with Windows Media Player. The question now is whether I have to access the game's programming to get it to use these files instead of the original files.
I will provide an update on that within the hour. Hopefully we figure out the solution to this issue and have a procedure written out in plain English for anyone else having the issue.
I've also uploaded a few screenshots of the situation onto my own profile under "Public". Humorously enough, the game claims the Orkish Kaptain "Doesn't Exist".
if you want to do that you can just replace the old files by the new (converted).
If they have the same name the game should run it with out issue.
Or is that the files type is not compatible with the game / UE4.
Edit: This was not successful with .wmv files. However, there are other types of files I can try. Unfortunately I won't be trying tonight because it takes ~15min for the game to start up every time and I don't have the patience. Unless...
I can try playing this one mission on a different computer. I do have a laptop with Windows 10 on it, but I don't like using it for gaming. Are game files synched across Steam?
