Out of 5 of my ships, 4 of them have the same commander portrait, players should be able to mod the portraits so that we could prevent having so many repeats as the current system breaks immersion too much.

Yeah I'd like to be able to manually change the captains portraits so this doesn't happen.

I agree it's kind of weak that there's only what, 4 or 5 different heads? At least have some more variety like a different kind/color of jacket, differnt assortments of medals on their chests, a bald, hair, captains' hat version of each head? That or I'd be fine with every unit of the same type having the exact same portraits if they were the cool 3d animated ones that get pissed off if you click on their face too much Starcraft style!

I would like to see more variety. This is fine for early access but if more art isn't added I'd like the option to import my own additions. I's like to grab some vintage military photos and 40k them up on GIMP or paint.net like the art from the Sabbat Wars coffee table book.

also id like it if the portraits changed if a favor was assigned

admech favor should have an admech in charge, astartes, well, a serf in astartes colors, or maybe the Master Of The Fleet for a particular chapter or something

just to add some more would be nice to get some "Favor" style portaits for space marines/ inqusitor/mech/ etc...

I'd be so freaking into this idea, I love it! There's so much 40k art out there to use, it would help make our ships feel truly unique. Especially if MP opponents could see our custom porttraits.
