What IS a missile pod, in game terminology?

The iconoclast escorts are able to take the "macro batteries ignore armor" ability, but no longer have macro batteries. Does a missile pod count as a macro class weapon, or is that upgrade just useless? If that's the case, then that makes ALL weapon upgrades useless on iconoclasts, since they have neither macro batteries nor lances.

The missle pod is the chaos equivalent of the macro battery. The tooltips likely weren't updated to reflect this.

According to the BFG rulebook, "macro batteries" include various cannons, missile launchers and other weapons. Chaos has a prevalence of missile-based macro-batteries, Imperial Navy has mostly cannon-based weapons.
