Please nerf gas clouds.
Is there ANY way possible we can rework the Nebula gas clouds in this game? I can see your ship going in for a few minutes to take cover,lay an ambush or go back to being off the map so you don't get targeted by long range guns.

But what about Nebula campers? People who just camp inside gas clouds all day. What can you really do? Not all ships have torpedo's so you can't pelt it with them. Chaos is especially at a disadvantage because they have no torp's. If you use the probe it will only reveal it for a moment and go back to being hidden. You also have to get close in order to use the stationary probe and for chaos this is a suicide run.

So basic-lee can we please find a way to stop gas cloud campers.

Well, since every faction has torepdo equipped ships, I don't see why you can't always have on in your fleet.

But it takes up valuable points to get ANY torpedo's equipped ship. You'd have to give up using a good battlecruiser+light cruiser or 2 cruisers combo and use a cruiser+light cruiser+ escort in order to get just 1 small ship that can shoot 2 small torpedo's. Also it would be very expensive to get that battleship if you already had a despoiler.

Again no matter what it seems like Chaos loses when facing off against a cloud.

Recon Beacon... Chaos does not lose against gas cloud unless you are bad. And that's an understatement.

You would have to get somewhat close in order to drop the beacon. A ship could micro jump and ♥♥♥♥ your ship up before you can even get out. To drop a beacon you would have to leave a safe good escape zone to do so. A million bad things could happen if you got close. Hell they could just torpedo/nova spam outside the cloud too.

A beacon ( not augur drone that travel a straight path ) last for a long time and deny the cloud to them .

If you are the Imperial , spam Melta Torp from all side or Nova them .

Also , you should not make your fleet too specialized .

So , as for your situation , you are chaos fleet that face an admiral who camp his ships inside the gas cloud , here is what you want : Either get one of your ship running silent ( preferly light cruiser ) or use the Mark of Teenzth then get close and drop a beacon , one they are revealed they will be bombard by lance from long range and force to evacuate from that cloud .

10k range is somewhere close. Yup. And Chaos is far from helpless in melee brawl. They are the second strongest melee brawler only after Ork. I seriously doubt you play Chaos enough, there's nothing Imperium can do against Chaos brawler except massing Dauntless with AP and hope to get a ram (which Chaos can easily evade by maneuvre, they are no Ork).

I can't count how many times I break the IN toyship named Retribution with Chaos brawler. IN is not that good at brawling like you think.

Would you be using the nurgle or khorne favor to do those brawls? Because everytime I seen a chaos player get in a brawl they get smacked pretty hard. I play Chaos almost as much as IN and I get chewed up when I brawl I have to stay at mid range to harass with bombers and lances.

Chaos is at silly advantage haha. Recon Beacon sit at 15 K shoot away. GG WP. I run with one Recon beacon and one recon probe. Problem solved camper has to get out of cloud or he starts losing ships. Also if you are approaching a cloud full of orks plant 1 stasis in front of them (they will always be facing you) than plant beacon or if you are carrying a few bombs plant bombs. that ork will have to move... Oh and didnt i just kill you with savage spam cloud camp as defender :D that was golden btw.

Carnage with AP, Supercharged Void Shield, Shield upgrade, Taunt and Nurgle. Bread and butter for every brawler fleet. They have the best dakka in the Cruiser range and you can use Taunt to split dmg to avoid concentrating fire.

Isn't there a 20 minute timeout on multiplayer rounds? If they want to camp a gas cloud just fire whatever torps you do have and/or just wait them out.

if you don't like nebula you should be really thankful they didn't implement the blast marker mechanics (although that was a big part of the imp defence in the TT iirc)
