Lore Question: Warp Gates
Are there such things? Some of the fluff I read mention jump off points but are those more like charted areas in space where warp travel has been proven safer rather than building a wormhole gate of sorts.

From my understanding of the lore there are space based webway gates.
After all if eldar enter the warp they get eaten.

Well, there is no such thing like "gate into warp". As you said, there are "jump points" that are in empty space far away from stars. But these points are nothing. There are on other hand some areas in space where is thin line between matterium and immaterium, so jumping into warp may be easier here. Eldar webway gates are on the other hand portals into "tunels" that are in warp but are NOT really in warp, cuz Eldar cant survive inside of warp. Emperor was building his own "webway" but it wasnt succesful.

It would have been successful if Chaos didn't screw it up...you know the Chaos Gods weren't going to sit idly by and let it's primary enemy bypass their influence

The Eldar webways are made of a material which is immune to the Warp.
The Emperors experiments required him to expend vast amounts of psychic energy through the Golden Throne to stop the tunnels he constructed made of conventional materials being corroded away. The most powerful psychic in the Empire after the Emperor had his whole life force consumed within one day maintaining it while the Emperor was fighting Horus. By the 40th millenium it takes the sacrifice of 10,000 psychics a day to keep the Golden Throne powered. If that stopped then the tunnel would collapse and there would be a direct link from the Warp to Terra allowing Chaos to invade by land.

Its implied that the Eldar have Stargate like structures in space to allow their Craftworld and other ships to move about the Galaxy, similar to the conventional webway portals on planets.
