In my opinion, yes, it's an enjoyable game, as for MP being dead, It's still possible ot get a match sometimes.

Since there is a open Thread with that kind of a question i would have one or two also.

1. Is there only a Campaign for the Imperium Faction or for the DLC Factions too?

2. How big is the Single Player Experience, are there Skirmishes or some kind of Scenarios or only the Main Campaign?

Campaign can be pretty long and is replayable with different tactics as your fleet is persistent through it. And it is only Imperium Faction.

Next to the campaign you also have skirmish with is exactly the same as mp but then against AI. It are different fleets though. Both also have a 2v2 mode you can engage in to play with a friend.

Next to these you can also setup a custom match where you pick the scenario and the point value.

And yes the game is worth the prrice, especialy now that it is on sale.

Took me about 25 hours with doing all the side missions as well if I don't restarts and playing missions again for the heck of it or perfecting them (because especially the story missions are fun). The amazing cutscenes and the persistent gameplay (you get ships that you keep, upgrade, level up, promote etc. for the entire game) and the many unique upgrade paths and ship variants alone made it really rewarding for me.

Optional side missions get kinda stale after some time (they are pretty much mostly AI skirmish missions with the odd unique story mission thrown in [fighting a Space Hulk FTW]) but them being tied in into the risk style campaign map where planet losses mean something, the extra needed upgrade points/experience for participating ships and the overall awesome gameplay and great 40k immersion (making a vile heretic mutant chaos ship disintegrate and explode by brutally ramming it from two directions at the same with two Battlecruisers never gets old) is so much fun that I didn't have many issues with that, unlike most games that do that (cough cough, DoW Dark Crusade and Soulstorm, cough cough).

So even with the low population multiplayer the game is absolutely worth getting or rather a must buy if you like 40k and/or Total War Empire/Napoleon naval battles (more of it and better) and want to play it for the singleplayer mostly.

Not in my opinion, the battles are very small in scale, and the story is rather meh for me honestly, and never touched the mp been broken since day one.
