Caverns and Dryads has been included into the Steam Medieval Fest!

It’s hard to believe that less than a year ago I released my project (a world that is now yours as well) and here we are already taking part in a Steam festival!

And the truth is, what we’ve built together works. When you sit and think about it, it’s really, really nice!

I’m also thrilled to be alongside so many high-quality projects in this festival.

Take a look at all the games featured, especially those made by solo developers like me, who pour all our passion into sharing our fantasy worlds with you. You’re the reason we give the very best of ourselves.

Hi adventurers! ːsteamhappyː

These weeks I’m writing the story for the next parts of the game while you play. Since that’s an inspired process, I’m also adding new content and features in the meantime.

After thinking about it for a few days, I’ve decided that the next update will bring more job quests.

The first ones will be centered around the special places already in the game (the Council of Magic, the Palace of the Purple King, and others). You’ll be able to visit these locations and accept missions to fight special monsters or warlocks.

My plan is to implement them like this:

• The game will check how powerful your characters are. It will use that information to generate a mission. It will then create a short story for it, choose an enemy, and place it somewhere in the world.

• The enemy will scale with your strength, so even advanced players with several stats at 15 or higher will still face a decent challenge.

• Rewards will scale with difficulty: the harder the mission, the better the reward.

• You can return to the special places and accept new missions after completing one. As always, if you’re already busy with a job, you won’t be offered another unless you abandon the current one.

And hey… don’t tell anyone, but in a few days I’ll also announce an event, so stay tuned!
