Public depot was updated 5 years ago. However, there is a "lizhf9z8cgbn" depot that was updated 24 days ago. This is probably the Enigma Protect update, but it hasn't been made public yet (as indicated by the arrow icon).
I checked other Mega Man games and they have similar depots:
MMLC2: https://steamdb.info/app/495050/depots/
MMXLC1: https://steamdb.info/app/743890/depots/
MMXLC2: https://steamdb.info/app/743900/depots/
MM11: https://steamdb.info/app/742300/depots/
it is their product, you bought a right to use it
Also it suddenly makes perfect sense why Capcom never wanted to sell on Good Old Games, not even their ancient arcade stuff.
Well said.
already changed my resident evil revelations and resident evil 5 reviews to Negative warning people about Enigma drm malware.
still have some other capcom games to review, including dead rising series, resident revelations 2 etc i'll have to find info bout if any of those has enigma.
i think thats only an excuse ("we want to prevent cheating" bs) but in reality is a way to prevent the new woke changes in their games from becoming fixing by modders, like what happened recently in street fighter 6 with the spy family character that looks completely different and ugly.
Doing a bad job on a cheap cash-grab of a character model has nothing to do with "wokeness". Jesus, "wokeness" really is the modern boogyman, you'll just blame everything on it.
Not that I can even blame Capcom for it, the SpyxFamily art style just does not work with Street Fighter's current art, at all.
Pretty sure console versions should be unaffected by this, at least. Personally I have the games on the Switch, there's no drawback and you get the whole collection translated 1/1 on a portable device.
