Be more specific in your title please.
I also believe you are referring to SteamOS, not SteamPlay...

*facepalm*

There is literally no reason you could not release this for Linux.

But hey, we were promised :bpenguin: street fighter and never got that...

That's promising.
Japanese game companies rarely port to Linux, or allow anybody to outsource it.

I can confirm it "works" via Steam Play, but I have to do some sort of jank-assed method of running it. Running straight from Steam won't work, but if I do so in a terminal emulator while Steam is running via Proton's version of WINE, then it works (albeit at no more than 30fps due to my old laptop's anemic GTX-285m. Anyone know how to make it flat out work without using the CLI?

I couldn't make it work at all. How did you do, Seth?

This loaded up fine for me just now and I played a bit of MegaMan 1.

In the steam client settings under Steam Play you need to tick "enable Steam Play for all games" or something like that and then the option to install will appear in the normal place when looking at the game in your library.

I used an Xbox ONE controller which also worked fine.

You may need to update your graphics drivers, I'm not sure. On Linux mint I used the Steam Play recommended repository for nvidia drivers and currently my version is 396.54 on GTX970.

ODDity, I did try that. Unfortunately, the newest drivers a GPU this old (again, GTX-285m, so basically the laptop equivalent of a desktop 9800GTX) are the 340 series legacy drivers. If I can somehow source a Mobility Radeon 5000 or 6000 series card for this thing, I could try it via the open source drivers. Also, Steam Play for all titles is enabled, and I'm using the Proton 3.16 beta if that might make a difference.

brsinal: what I did was first change my directory to $HOME/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Suzy before running this command (and yes, due to the spacing in the directory name, quotations MUST be used or you get a syntax error). "../Proton 3.16/dist/bin/wine" Proteus.exe

Also, yeah, one honestly is going to need a DX11-capable GPU at this point. Even back on windows with my old Alienware laptop, the game will not launch. So I'm guessing Proton/WINE is indeed reporting whatever is the most recent featureset the graphics card supports.
