Megaman 1 Zip Glitch?

Been going through the challenges and I noticed a ton of replays where people use the zip glitch to get passed certain areas really quick.

Anyone know any guides on how to do it?

Yeah that's the one, I've seen stuff about a Megaman 2 glitch but haven't really found any guides for MegaMan 1. Unless I'm looking in the wrong places.
