MM2: Can you beat the game without losing an extra life?

In Wily Castle, there is a turret boss with walls. You only have 7 shots but 10 targets. I destroy the walls, get killed. Next time I enter the walls are gone.

You can use Items 1 and 3 to climb over walls that you don't need to use Crash Bomb. In more advanced strategies, you can blow a wall and a turret at the same time. Also, if dodging its bullets cause a headache, you can rapidly open and close the menu to gain invincibility frames.

This boss is terrible. Definitely my least favorite thing in the whole series.

I've beaten it legit before, but on most playthroughs I don't even bother. I pause spam to dodge shots, just because the thing is such a pain.

I've one-lifed MM2. You can beat the turrents with one life. You don't need to destroy all the walls.

She beat the entirety of this game without taking a hit, although her strategy does involve some painful Sniper Joe farming, and also uses the targeting to hit both a turret and the wall.

I don't know if the other videos showed it, but if you pause rapidly while the boss is firing its shots at you, you can simply ignore them, which is a trick I use... quite alot lol
