Dr Wily Stage 1 Problem Megaman 2

So, I beat the last robot master Heatman and I just begain the Dr Wily stages. On the first stage when you climb the "tower" there are two ladders one at the bottom right of the stage and one to the top left. and there is no floor or anything between the two ladders except for empty space. How do I reach the top left ladder? please help.

You use the tranport items, that Dr Light gives you.

Item 1: Lifts you up for a short amount of time.

Item 2: Moves you across. (The item you need to get up that top left ladder.)

Item 3: Lifts you up, much like Item 1, but you can only fire the platform at a wall, but it also lifts
you up until you run out of energy. Unlike Item 1, which runs out after a certain amount of time.

Use item 1.

1: Stay on the bottom right stairs, by on i mean megaman holding the stairs not standing on it.
2: 'Shoot' Item 1 and go up the ladder and jump on the created Item 1.
3: 'Shoot' Item 1 again while you are hovering on the first Item 1 and jump on it.
4: Repead untill you can jump onto the top left ladder.
